Works were carried out between March to September 2019 and consisted of the construction of a new 3 class standalone maths block to the rear of the School and the introduction of a mezzanine structure through the school hall (during the summer shut down period) to form a new library area.
The build consisted of 12m deep piled foundations with ground beams, substructure brickwork and a 225mm beam and block floor system. The superstructure was constructed from conventional masonry work with a timber/steel flat roof structure, single ply warm roof system and concrete coping stones to the parapets. Heating and cooling is provided by a ceiling mounted cassette system - all wall and ceiling finishes received a plastered finish.
